Trees for Cities is looking for volunteers to help regenerate Broadwater Green park; adding diverse native planting and natural play. The day will also feature free live music, face painting and nature themed arts and crafts activities, 11:00am-3:00pm.

Is your brain bigger than your heart? Find out at Dashwood's Valentine's Quiz Night, 8:00-11:00pm. £3 per person entry, maximum of four in a team. Prizes to be won.

A free family fun day is taking place during February half term, 11:00am-3:00pm and will include a food growing class, a tree workshop led by London Wildlife Trust, eco bingo and other wildlife activities, a children's entertainer 11:30am and face painting 11:30am-1:30pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This project and its actions were made possible due to co-financing by the European Fund for the Integration of third-country nationals.

Greenwich Mind is holding an eight week African and Caribbean Women's Self Esteem and Parenting workshop, starting 23 February 2012. Please contact Naomi for further information.

Providing advice and support for emotional, financial, practical and mental health issues, 9:30am-12:30pm, 23 February-29 March, 26 July-30 August and 29 November 2012-10 January 2013.

NHS Greenwich is working in partnership with the Greenwich Healthy Living Service to offer a free, six week course working with parents of children with long-term physical or behavioural conditions. The course consists of six, 2.5 hour sessions, running once a week over six weeks.

Save a life - give blood, 11:00am-1:30pm, 3:00-5:30pm. Please book an appointment in advance.

Bexley NHS is offering a free health advice and guidance drop-in but particularly focusing on cervical screening and bowel screening, 10:00am-1:00pm.

This six week course will run every Thursday, 9:30-11:30am and will cover job searching, application forms, CV writing, presentation and interview skills for those who want to gain and develop skills you need to get back into work.

The Feel Good Coop introduces Clairvoyant Mystic Nikki, who will be giving readings from 6:30pm.

£15 per ticket includes a reading and food and there will be the option to buy a raffle ticket-or-two on the night. Please book in advance.

The Queen will be celebrating 60 years as our Head of State during a four day Diamond Jubilee weekend running Saturday 2 June-Tuesday 5 June; noting Monday 4 and Tuesday 5 June 2012 are both Bank Holidays.

This year's European football tournament, Euro 2012, will kick off on 8 June and run until 1 July.

This year's Olympic and Paralympic Games will be taking place in the U.K., 21 June-9 September.

Greenwich Link are based at Trust Thamesmead a.m. every fourth Tuesday of the month; helping others regarding local health and social care.

Greenwich Link is one of many service providers who are providing their expertise and time for free at Trust Thamesmead's One-Stop-Shop, held 9:00am-5:00pm throughout the week.

Every Sunday - Boot Fair - Birchmere Park

Birchmere Park boot fair runs every Saturday, 9:00am sellers, 10:00am buyers and every Sunday, 10:00am sellers, 11:00am buyers. £12 per car, £15 per van.

It could be down to a personal crisis, sudden job loss, illness, separation or homelessness; no one in Thamesmead or Abbey Wood needs to go to bed hungry. Contact your doctor's surgery, health visitor, social worker, Church Minister or one of the area's other voluntary sector workers to discuss your situation; they may be able to give you a voucher to obtain food.

The Thamesmead surfers over 50s group meet once a month to discuss a chosen book over a cup of coffee and biscuits, 10:00-11:30am, 50p per week for refreshments.

Monday Munch (Greenmead Children Centre's Parent's Forum) meet 12:30-2:00pm on the second Monday of every month, which provides the parents and carers of their child to discuss activities currently running and make suggestions for other activities.

Every Tuesday - Baby Group

Are you a new mum with lots of questions you need answers to? Then look no further! A Nursery Nurse will be on hand to give you all the advice and guidance you need at this weekly drop-in session, 10:00-11:30am.

Last Tuesday of the month - Craft Group

Thamesmead Surfers over 50s group meet 11:00am-1:00pm on the last Tuesday of each month to watch demonstrations and take part in making cards, bookmarks, flower arranging and more. 50p per week for refreshments and some members stay for a pub lunch afterwards.

Every Tuesday - Drama Classes

Drama classes, 4:30-5:30pm for 5-10 year olds and 5:30-6:30pm for 11-19 year olds, £5 per class.

Every Tuesday - Family Play Sessions

SureStart supports Goose-E-Ganders family play sessions for 0-5 year olds, 9:00-11:30am, term time only.

Every Tuesday - Gllab

GLLaB provides information, advice and guidance to unemployed Greenwich residents including training and work experience to help customers gain qualifications and skills to get back into work. Available all day, every Tuesday.

GLLaB is one of many service providers who are providing their expertise and time for free at Trust Thamesmead's One-Stop-Shop, held 9:00am-5:00pm throughout the week.

Every Tuesday - Pre-school Dance Class

Dance classes for pre-school children 1:30-2:30pm every Tuesday and 10:00-11:00am every Thursday, £3 per class.

Every Tuesday - Strengthening Families, Strengthening Communities Parent Programme

A new programme that emphasises the importance of having positive family and cultural values for achieving healthy lifestyles, covering everything from family stress including relationship difficulties, separation, health and finance to behaviours and emotions. All this and a whole lot more, 2.5 hours each Tuesday running 18 January-19 April 2011.

1st Tuesday of the month - Thamesmead Talks on a Tuesday

Greenwich Association of Disabled People (GAD) and Trust Thamesmead are working together to provide monthly drop in sessions for disabled people in Thamesmead. Meeting on the first Tuesday of every month-the first session is taking place on the 3rd May between 1:00-3:00pm.

These sessions will provide a place for disabled people to socialise, share information, resources and create a platform to speak up for disabled people living in Thamesmead about issues which affect them.

Every Wednesday - Baby and Toddler Rhyme Time

Free baby and toddler rhyme time, 10:30-11:00am during term time only. Please call Claude Ramsey Library for more information.

Every Wednesday - Body Conditioning

Active for Health in Greenwich is working in partnership with the Government's Change for Life and offering free Body Conditioning classes, 1:30-2:30pm during term-time.

Every Wednesday - Circuits

SureStart's keep fit for adults, 1:30-2:30pm, term time only. Limited creche spaces available.

Every Wednesday - Discovery Parent Group Drop In

A weekly meeting held 3:15-4:30pm, not only so parents of children who attend the school and children's centre can get to know each other, but so other members of the community can get to know other parents and also find out what is going on in their community in Thamesmead. Term Time only.

Trust Thamesmead is working in partnership with Pro-active, Bexley NHS Care Trust and the London Borough of Bexley, in bringing you a weekly weigh-in and group support to help Thamesmead residents loose weight and become active; includes two free activity sessions each week!  Taking place 10:00-11:00am.

In addition, the following physical activity sessions will be available at the Business Academy Bexley, Yarnton Way. The sessions are free to Thamesmead Community Fit Club members who produce a voucher and just £2.50 for non members.

Quit smoking with the help of Greenwich Healthy Living Service, Charlton Athletic Community Trust and Greenwich NHS. They will be holding a roadshow in Thamesmead Town Centre, 12:00-8:00pm every Thursday until and including 8 March 2012.

So regardless of how many times you've tried to quit in the past, it's this time that matters. With free help at hand, you are four times more likely to quit smoking for good!

Trust Thamesmead and Greenwich Community Food Coop launched a weekly fresh fruit and veg stall in September 2007.

Every Friday - Street Dance Class

Join Thamesmead School of Dance for Street Dance classes every Friday night, 7:15-8:00pm boys and 8:00-8:45pm girls aged 8+. £3 per session.

Every Friday - Supporting Parents Course

This five week free course is run for and by parents of children with learning disabilities and behavioural conditions. Running 10:30am-1:00pm, 26 February-26 March 2010. Refreshments and lunch provided, as is a limited creche.

3rd Friday of the month - Thamesmead Moorings Safer Neighbourhoods Team Drop in Surgeries

Pop in and meet your local Safer Neighbourhood Officers and discuss with them any concerns that you have about your local community, 6:30-7:30pm on the 3rd Friday of every month.

SureStart's Toy Library Stay and Play runs 1:00-3:00pm during term time. Borrow toys for just 20p, Home Safey equipment available.

Join a manned walk around Bostall Heath from the Bowling Green, 10:00am every Friday.

3rd Friday of the month - Ward Councillors Advice Surgeries

Thamesmead Moorings Ward Councillors hold advice surgeries at Thamesmere Leisure Centre, to enable them to speak to residents in the Moorings area about any problems or queries they may have. Days/times are; the first Saturday of every month, 10:30-11:30am and the third Friday of every month 6:30-7:30pm.

Every Friday - Zumba Class

Adult-only Zumba classes, 6:30-7:30pm, £3 per session.

Adult Education Bexley is offering parents in on the Bexley side of Thamesmead the chance to participate in free courses with their child/ren. Teresa Pearce MP holds a surgery every month at various venues in Thamesmead. Please call to find out more and arrange an appointment.
